Welcome to Encore! Productions

Currently, Encore! is home to 700+ students who study music, drama and dance. We offer 72 different weekly classes, for dancers of all ages, from newborns through adults. With a staff of caring individuals, classes are taught with an organized curricula and syllabus, in an educational but fun way. Workshops, camps, and tea parties allow students to expand their creativity. Encore! operates in an atmosphere that highlights “family values” in a child-safe, friendly environment.

It is our goal to provide an opportunity for children in the community to experience theater arts in a safe, professional environment. Our unique approach to child development fosters self-esteem, confidence, pose, and creativity. Students will flourish in an environment filled with quality leadership, professional instruction and caring individuals. We strive to give all students the opportunity to enjoy the wonderful world of music, dance, and drama in a comfortable, no pressure, FUN way! There are NO exams, NO try-outs, and all participants are welcome, but NOT required to join in any or all recital productions at their ability level.

Enjoy your dancing!

Our Team

Meet the talented and dedicated individuals who make Encore! truly feel like family.

Miss Cheyenne

Teacher

Miss Cheyenne, a passionate dancer, discovered her love for ballet later in life after growing up immersed in contemporary dance.  With over 5 years of experience working with children and specializing in ballet, she aims to inspire her students to embrace dance as a creative outlet and a powerful form of self-expression.

Miss Katie

Teacher

Miss Katie has provided over 18 years of dance instruction and choreography for Encore!

A native of Sacramento, Katie Rogers was a founding member of Sheldon High School’s Universal Rhythm (1997-2000).  In 2004, she earned a BA in Theater Arts at CSU Sacramento, and later a MFA from Mills College (Performance and Choreography).

She was thrilled to be a guest artist and choreographer to Sheldon’s Dance and Theater departments, earning several Elly nominations and receiving an Elly award for The Imaginary Invalid (2019).

Miss Kristen

Teacher

Miss Kristen began her dancing career at Encore! when she was 7 years old.  Her first production was Annie, in which she played the role of Pepper.  While attending Sheldon High School, she was an ensemble dancer in several productions.  She graduated to using pointe shoes in 2013, and has been in Encore’s productions of Swan Lake and Giselle.

In addition to dancing for Encore, Miss Kristen is in the dance program at Cosumnes River College, where she also studies Early Childhood Development.  She is also involved with the Paradigm Dance Company.

Miss Shylee

Teacher

Miss Shylee found her dance home here at Encore in high school. Over the years her love for dance has continued to grow, and she is now one our wonderful teachers here at Encore! While teaching classes at Encore four days a week, she is going to school to become an elementary school teacher.

Even the tiniest dancer can learn to appreciate music.
